Carrier IT Product Manager (Carrier & Telecom Solutions)

About the role

The Carrier IT Product Manager will lead marketing and solution sales of a broad portfolio of Cloud, AI, Storage, Big Data, Data Warehouse, IaaS, PaaS and SaaS offerings across Kenya and Southern Africa. The role bridges technology, sales and product marketing, translating complex IT capabilities into business solutions for telecom operators and enterprise customers.

Key responsibilities

• Drive solution sales and marketing for Carrier IT solutions, creating value propositions and customer‑facing messaging.
• Develop and manage sales enablement materials such as presentations, proposals and competitive battle cards.
• Lead customer workshops, product demonstrations and proof‑of‑concept engagements.
• Monitor market trends, customer requirements and competitor activity to shape solution packaging.
• Collaborate with R&D, Delivery and Frontline teams to align product capabilities with customer needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in telecom and IT, with solution sales, product marketing or presales exposure.
• Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Willingness to travel 40%+ and work on‑site in Kenya.

Required skills

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Huawei Cloud, Google Cloud Platform).
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure, virtualization and data‑centre technologies.
• Working knowledge of AI, machine learning, Storage, Disaster Recovery, Big Data and Data Warehouse technologies.
