School Sports Teacher

About the role

Strathmore School seeks an experienced and passionate Sports Teacher to deliver sports‑related learning within the CBE curriculum and to lead the school’s competitive teams. The role combines classroom instruction with coaching responsibilities, contributing to the holistic development of students.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver curricular activities in sports‑related learning areas aligned with the CBE curriculum.
• Coach school teams in at least two sports and prepare them for internal and external competitions.
• Support the Sports Department in implementing the overall sports programme.
• Coordinate training schedules, team participation, and competition logistics.
• Maintain records of student progress and competition results.

Required profile

• Minimum C+ at O‑Level (KCSE or equivalent).
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Education with Sports as a teaching subject.
• At least 3 years of teaching experience.
• Minimum 3 years of high‑level coaching experience in at least two sports.
• Valid TSC registration and certificate of good conduct.
• Coaching qualifications in basketball, rugby, hockey or football are a strong advantage.
