Security Guard – Patrol & Monitoring

About the role

Join the KSIA talent pool as a Security Guard responsible for safeguarding premises, staff, and visitors in Nairobi’s Westlands area. You will monitor activities, deter criminal behavior, and maintain a safe environment for all stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol and monitor the company’s premises regularly to discourage criminal activity.
• Control entry and exit of employees, visitors, and vehicles according to established protocols.
• Evict trespassers, detain violators, and follow legal procedures before authorities arrive.
• Monitor surveillance cameras for disruptions or unlawful activities.
• Prepare detailed daily activity and incident reports for management.
• Test and operate security systems, including X‑ray machines and metal detectors.
• Use two‑way radios for clear communication.
• Provide CPR or first‑aid assistance when required.

Required profile

• Excellent knowledge of security protocols and emergency procedures.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and calmness under stress.
• Physical height requirement: males at least 5.8 ft, females at least 5.5 ft.
