Senior Bookkeeper / Accountant (Night Shift)

About the role

Talent Match Africa is seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper/Accountant to manage the full finance function for an international business operating on Australian hours. This full‑time, night‑shift position is office‑based and requires independent ownership of bookkeeping, reporting and payroll tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain complete bookkeeping and accounting across multiple entities.
• Process accounts payable and receivable accurately.
• Perform daily bank and credit‑card reconciliations.
• Prepare journals, accruals and month‑end adjustments.
• Close month‑end, reconcile balance sheets and produce management reports.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Manage payroll and ensure statutory compliance.
• Liaise with external accountants and auditors as needed.
• Identify and implement improvements to financial processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior bookkeeper or accountant.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with Xero accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
