Senior HR Manager / HR Business Partner

About the role

Precision Development (PxD) is seeking a senior HR professional to lead employee relations, safeguarding and people development across its multicultural, remote‑first workforce. The role partners closely with senior leadership to shape people strategy and support organisational change in a fast‑growing international NGO.

Key responsibilities

• Manage employee‑relations cases end‑to‑end, providing guidance to line managers and ensuring documentation is accurate and policy‑aligned.
• Identify trends in ER cases and advise the COO on proactive, organisation‑wide improvements.
• Serve as the primary coaching and mentoring resource for managers, helping them address everyday people challenges.
• Lead safeguarding activities, including case management, training delivery and policy development.
• Partner with senior leadership on workforce planning, organisational change and people strategy.
• Maintain working knowledge of employment law across multiple jurisdictions and liaise with external legal advisers as needed.

Required profile

• 10+ years of senior HR generalist or HR Business Partner experience, preferably within an international NGO or development context.
• Proven track record managing employee‑relations casework with sound judgement on proportionality and risk.
• Experience acting as a Designated Safeguarding Lead or in a comparable senior safeguarding role.
• Strong coaching and mentoring abilities for a dispersed, multicultural workforce.
• Working knowledge of employment law across multiple jurisdictions and experience collaborating with external legal counsel.
• Demonstrated ability to partner with senior leaders on change management and people strategy.
• Calm, kind, and steady approach to sensitive or high‑pressure situations, combined with rigorous professional judgement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable operating across time zones and cultures.
