Senior HVAC Operator – Biotech/Pharma Facility

About the role

We are seeking a Senior HVAC Operator to join our biotech/pharmaceutical facility. The role ensures reliable climate control and supports critical process equipment, working closely with facilities and engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain HVAC and Building Management System (BMS) equipment to achieve optimal climate control.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair chillers, air handling units, ventilation systems, and related components.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on process equipment such as bioreactors and fermenters.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, performance logs, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with facilities and engineering teams on upgrades and improvements.
• Support validation and qualification of equipment in compliance with GMP and regulatory standards.
• Respond promptly to alarms and emergencies to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Ensure safety compliance and participate in safety training.
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior technicians as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in HVAC or mechanical systems preferred.
• 3‑5 years of experience with HVAC, BMS, and process equipment in a biotech or pharmaceutical environment.
• Knowledge of GMP, FDA, and related regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork abilities.
