Senior Instrumentation Engineer – Sun Pharma

About the role

Sun Pharma is seeking a senior instrumentation professional to lead brown‑field projects in its API manufacturing plant. The role involves overseeing installation, commissioning, and maintenance of control and automation systems while ensuring compliance with cGMP standards.

Key responsibilities

• Initiate and execute brown‑field instrumentation and automation projects.
• Install, commission, and maintain DCS, SCADA, PLC, HMI, MCC panels, Remote I/O, UPS, and EPBAX systems.
• Finalize technical specifications for DCS, SCADA, and instruments during procurement.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams and manage critical spares inventory.
• Execute preventive, breakdown, and proactive maintenance of equipment and processes.
• Plan and carry out PLC/DCS validation and qualification for internal and external audits.
• Handle SAP activities, calibration, and QMS tasks in Trackwise (change control, deviations).
• Support regulatory, statutory, and safety audits and manage CSV validation activities.

Required profile

• B.E. in Instrumentation.
• 8‑10 years of instrumentation engineering experience in an API manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of cGMP and pharmaceutical process requirements.
