About the role
Amref International University seeks a Senior Lecturer in Community Health Practice to deliver high‑quality teaching and research in public health for both graduate and undergraduate programmes.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver lectures, tutorials, seminars and skills‑based sessions in Public Health.
- Design, develop, review and implement curricula and syllabi.
- Provide academic advising, mentorship and supervision for postgraduate researchers.
- Participate in examinations, moderation, accreditation and quality‑assurance activities.
- Conduct independent and collaborative research, secure grants and publish findings.
- Represent the department at academic, public and stakeholder forums.
Required profile
- PhD in Public Health or a related health discipline.
- At least five years of university teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Demonstrated experience in curriculum design, postgraduate supervision and research.
- Registered with the relevant professional body where applicable.
- Strong record of scholarly publications in peer‑reviewed journals.
