Senior Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

Simple Life is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to own and evolve its AWS infrastructure, Kubernetes platform, and internal tooling. The role is operations‑led, focusing on automation, reliability, and rapid delivery for a health‑focused AI app used by millions worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and improve production systems on AWS, including VPC, IAM, EKS, and RDS.
• Develop and manage infrastructure‑as‑code using Terraform and Terramate, with Atlantis handling plan and apply on pull requests.
• Operate workloads on EKS with Karpenter and Fargate, deploying via ArgoCD in a GitOps workflow.
• Build and enhance observability stacks using Grafana, Loki, Tempo, and Prometheus‑compatible metrics.
• Participate in on‑call rotation, incident response, and root‑cause analysis.
• Write automation tools and small services in Go to replace repetitive manual processes.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving instincts, especially when incidents lack clear logs or metrics.
• Ability to work under pressure, navigate ambiguity, and deliver thorough root‑cause findings.
• Quick learner who can adopt new technologies and take ownership of unfamiliar tasks.
• Excellent written and spoken English with strong communication skills for cross‑team design discussions.
