Senior Software Engineer - AI Agent

About the role

Crimson Education is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the development of a next‑generation AI education agent. You will shape core product architecture, build robust backend systems, and turn ambiguous ideas into production‑ready features.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the core product and system architecture for an AI‑driven education agent.
• Create and ship agentic workflows covering planning, tool use, memory, evaluations, feedback loops, and production operations.
• Own complex engineering problems from prototype through to production deployment.
• Build scalable backend and infrastructure foundations for AI‑native products.
• Collaborate closely with product and design teams to iterate quickly on ambiguous concepts.
• Drive higher engineering leverage, better abstractions, and faster iteration cycles across the team.

Required profile

• Hardcore technical ability with strong full‑stack experience, especially deep backend and infrastructure expertise.
• Recognised as a “10x builder” with strong product instinct.
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity, taking high ownership, and making sharp trade‑offs.
• Deep curiosity about AI agents, developer tooling, evaluation systems, and modern engineering practices.
• Excitement for hands‑on exploration and application of cutting‑edge AI technologies.
