Spare Parts Shop Attendant

About the role

Brites Management Services is hiring a full-time Spare Parts Shop Attendant in Nyeri. The role covers welcoming customers, identifying and selling genuine spare parts for Isuzu trucks and Toyota vehicles, managing stock and keeping the shop organised.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and attend to customers professionally, understanding their spare parts needs.
• Identify and recommend the correct parts for Isuzu trucks and Toyota vehicles using model, year, engine, chassis and part numbers.
• Give accurate information on availability, pricing and application, and sell genuine, quality, approved parts.
• Prepare quotations, sales orders, invoices and receipts where required.
• Receive and inspect incoming parts, check quantities and specifications, and arrange and maintain organisation of the shop and store.
• Monitor stock levels, help with stock taking and inventory reconciliation, and ensure correct labelling, storage and handling.
• Follow up on customer inquiries and orders, assist with alternative parts where requested items are unavailable (subject to company approval).
• Maintain good relationships with mechanics, garages, fleet owners, transport companies and individual customers.
• Record all sales and stock transactions accurately, prevent incorrect part sales by checking applications before invoicing, and report damaged, missing or obsolete parts to management.
• Keep the shop clean and professional, and support the sales team in meeting monthly targets.

Required profile

• KCSE certificate or equivalent.
• Certificate or diploma in Automotive Engineering, Motor Vehicle Technology, Parts Management or a related field is an added advantage.
• 2+ years' experience in an automotive spare parts shop, dealership, garage or related environment.
• Previous experience handling Isuzu and Toyota parts is highly preferred.

Required skills

• Experience with automotive parts catalogues or electronic parts identification systems is an advantage.

Pay is KSh 20,000 plus commission on sales made. Applications are sent by email with a CV; interviews are held on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
