Supply Chain Management Officer II

About the role

The Supply Chain Management Officer II is responsible for managing procurement, purchasing and logistics operations to ensure timely availability of goods, works and services for the Authority.

Key responsibilities

• Support implementation of policies, strategies, guidelines, plans, standards and procedures related to supply chain management and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Conduct market surveys and research to inform procurement of goods, works and services.
• Support capacity‑building programmes on supply chain processes within the Authority.
• Register and pre‑qualify suppliers, maintain supplier lists and update inventory/stores in line with regulations.
• Maintain accurate records, consolidate data for internal and external reports, and implement risk mitigation measures.
• Issue items to staff based on requisitions and develop individual work plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Purchasing, Logistics, Business Administration, Commerce or a related field from a recognised institution.
• Member of the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM).
• Proficiency in computer applications.

Required skills

• Knowledge of procurement, purchasing and logistics processes.
• Ability to conduct market research and supplier pre‑qualification.
• Strong record‑keeping and data consolidation abilities.
