Territory Manager – Service Station Retail

About the role

Lexo Energy, a retail company operating service stations for major brands in Kenya, is hiring a Territory Manager for a full-time, on-site position in Nairobi. The role covers sales activities across assigned territories, customer relationship building, growth opportunities, sales performance monitoring and target achievement. The employer is recruiting through a corporate staffing partner.

Key responsibilities

• Drive business performance in the assigned territory by maximising sales, operational efficiency and site performance, and achieve monthly fuel, lubricants and LPG sales targets.
• Manage wet stock controls to keep product losses within approved limits.
• Train and coach site teams on company standards, business principles and product knowledge.
• Review site P&L performance and recommend improvements to boost profitability.
• Coordinate maintenance and repairs, report and close incidents, hold effective safety meetings and conduct periodic site hard closures to safeguard cash and stocks.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and business licence requirements and keep compliance documents up to date.
• Grow the territory by onboarding new sites and expanding convenience business through tenant recruitment, new additions and rent escalations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Commerce, Economics or a business-related field; a Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Finance or CIM is an added advantage.
• At least 3 years' experience in a sales-related field, preferably in FMCG or retail.
• Experience managing multiple locations within a region.
• Ability to analyse sales data and market trends, and flexibility to work in any region in Kenya where the company operates.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills and a strong sense of responsibility for customer service and brand guidelines.
