C&I Business Developer - Kenya & East Africa
Allied Talent Partners · Nairobi
Job description
About the role
Allied Talent Partners (ATP), a Three Cairns Group initiative, is recruiting a C&I Business Developer based in Nairobi to originate and convert commercial and industrial solar opportunities across Kenya and neighbouring East African markets, including Zambia. The role is independent within a wider sales team, reporting to the CEO, and focuses on building a qualified sales funnel through direct prospecting and channel-partner relationships.
Key responsibilities
- Build and convert a qualified C&I sales pipeline for rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV across Kenya and the region.
- Identify and develop relationships with prospective customers and channel partners, expanding an independently built network.
- Develop sales proposals with technical colleagues, progress opportunities and close projects through to handover to execution teams.
- Contribute to KES 250 million in sales and KES 400 million in proposals in the first year.
- Build one to two new key accounts and maintain accurate pipeline records and market intelligence.
Required profile
- Demonstrated success independently developing and converting a country, regional market or sales territory with clear revenue accountability.
- At least five years of techno-commercial B2B sales experience in high-value, project-based sales.
- A strong C&I solar network and evidence of converting relationships with system integrators, channel partners and senior decision-makers into closed business.
- Experience progressing projects to implementation handover and developing strategic key accounts.
- Exposure to sectors such as manufacturing, agriculture, education, healthcare, retail or hospitality.
Required skills
- Developing and negotiating techno-commercial proposals, including pricing models and quantitative analysis for solar PV.
- Structuring project-financing options such as leasing or power-purchase arrangements.
- Pipeline management and coordination of technical, operations and finance teams.
What we offer
- Working arrangement: TBCT, full-time, with a 12-month contract and option to convert to permanent employment.
- Start date of 8 November 2026 or 18 January 2027.
- Travel and work-related expenses, and a medical scheme.
