Vehicle Tinter – Automotive Window Film Installer

About the role

The Vehicle Tinter will join our automotive workshop in Westlands, Nairobi, to install and maintain high‑quality window tint films on a variety of vehicles. You will work directly with customers, ensuring professional, bubble‑free installations that meet safety and legal standards.

Key responsibilities

• Install decorative, privacy, UV‑protection and sun‑control window tint films on cars, trucks and other vehicles.
• Measure, cut, shape and heat‑form tint films for precise, wrinkle‑free application.
• Remove old or damaged tint films without damaging glass.
• Thoroughly clean and prepare windows, inspecting for chips or scratches before installation.
• Mix and match tint shades to meet customer specifications and legal requirements.
• Conduct quality checks on completed work and rectify any defects before vehicle delivery.
• Explain tint products, benefits and maintenance to customers and provide professional advice.
• Maintain tinting tools, heat guns, cutting equipment and keep the workshop organized and safe.

Required profile

• Certificate or Diploma in Automotive Engineering, Vehicle Body Repair, Auto Detailing or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
• Proven experience as a Vehicle Tinter or automotive window‑film installer.
• Experience mixing tint colours and creating custom solutions.
• Knowledge of different automotive window films and installation techniques.
