About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Volunteer Faculty member to teach Finance and Accounting courses at Africa Nazarene University. The role involves delivering high-quality instruction to undergraduate and graduate students, both in-person and through online platforms. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Nairobi.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, plan and implement curriculum and lesson plans for finance and accounting subjects.
- Prepare and deliver classroom and online teaching materials, including assignments, case studies and laboratory sessions.
- Design and administer assessment tools to evaluate student learning outcomes.
- Supervise undergraduate and graduate research projects, internships and theses.
- Engage in departmental research, publish findings and contribute to grant writing.
- Provide academic and career advising to students as needed.
- Participate in conferences, workshops, industry linkages and community outreach activities.
- Support departmental administrative duties and program development.
Required profile
- PhD in a relevant finance or accounting discipline, or a Master’s degree with a PhD candidate in the final data-collection stage.
- Minimum three years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and research abilities.
