Youth Coordinator – Busia (Local User & Content Administrator)

About the role

The Youth Coordinator in Busia will act as a Local User and Content Administrator, mobilising young people and producing digital content to support the CSEA and GBV Prevention and Response Programme. This on‑site position works within an NGO media and community‑development environment, aiming to strengthen community protection systems and promote positive social change.

Key responsibilities

• Mobilise and engage young people in community activities related to CSEA and GBV prevention.
• Create, edit and manage digital content (videos, graphics, social media posts) that raise awareness and support programme objectives.
• Facilitate connections between community members, survivors and support services.
• Maintain local content platforms and ensure timely updates aligned with programme goals.

Required profile

• Young person living in or strongly linked to Busia (or one of the 14 target counties).
• Understanding of the local youth, creative and community ecosystem.
• Interest or experience in filmmaking, digital content creation, social media, journalism or storytelling.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with peers.
• Commitment to CSEA/GBV prevention, child protection, SRHR and youth empowerment.
