About the role
University of the People seeks qualified Adjunct Instructors to support its mission of providing tuition‑free, online degree programs worldwide. Instructors will teach nine‑week fully online courses, interacting with a highly diverse, global student body.
Key responsibilities
- Commit approximately 15 hours per week per course to respond to student emails, facilitate discussion forums, and grade assignments.
- Maintain a visible instructor presence, providing timely feedback and ensuring students achieve the defined learning outcomes.
- Monitor and finalize course grades by established deadlines and coordinate with the Office of Academic Operations on any issues.
Required profile
- Hold a master’s or doctorate degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills and cultural sensitivity to serve students from varied socio‑economic and cultural backgrounds.
- Experience with online teaching is preferred but not mandatory.
