B2B Business Development Executive

About the role

Career Directions Limited (CDL), an HR consulting and staffing agency based in Nairobi, is looking for a confident, professional and results-driven B2B Business Development Executive. The role suits someone who understands corporate sales, can open doors, build relationships and close businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively identify, source and develop new B2B leads and business opportunities.
• Research and target prospective corporate clients and key decision-makers.
• Contact prospects by call, email, networking, referrals and other channels.
• Secure and conduct meetings with corporate decision-makers.
• Understand client needs and position appropriate solutions.
• Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals and commercial pitches.
• Manage opportunities through the entire sales pipeline, from engagement to negotiation and closure.
• Negotiate commercial engagements and close new business.
• Build long-term relationships with current and prospective corporate clients and grow the corporate client portfolio.
• Follow up on proposals and opportunities to improve conversion rates.
• Work towards agreed sales and revenue targets and report regularly on prospects, pipeline and wins.

Required profile

• 3-5 years of proven B2B sales or business development experience, preferably in professional services, consulting or solution-based corporate sales.
• Track record of winning new business, closing deals and meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• University degree from an accredited university in Kenya.
