Business Development Executive – HORECA

About the role

The Business Development Executive – HORECA will drive growth of Premier Foods' hotel, restaurant and catering accounts in Nairobi. Reporting to the Key Accounts Executive‑HORECA, the role focuses on acquiring new customers, re‑activating dormant accounts and meeting revenue targets.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new HORECA accounts, maximizing volume and revenue through fact‑based selling.
• Maintain and evaluate pricing and contracts to ensure quality, timeliness and cost standards.
• Conduct monthly business review meetings and manage returns to minimise financial loss.
• Research market trends, develop marketing plans and ensure timely delivery of customer orders.
• Control debt by ensuring timely collection of payments and maintain high service levels.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in FMCG with HORECA focus.
• Energetic, aggressive personal selling style with a wide sales network.
• Valid driving licence and ability to travel for customer visits.

Required skills

• Strong sales and account management capabilities.
• Ability to analyse market data and develop strategic plans.
