Business Development Manager - Islamic SACCO

About the role

An Islamic SACCO, recruited by Brites Management Services, is looking for an experienced, results-driven Business Development Manager to lead membership growth, drive revenue, expand market presence and strengthen customer relationships. The role covers growth strategy, promotion of savings and Sharia-compliant financing products, partnerships, digital and traditional marketing and member service. It is a full-time position based in Eastleigh.

Key responsibilities

• Develop strategies to grow SACCO membership, savings, share capital, financing uptake and revenue, and acquire new members, SMEs, traders and business clients.
• Build strategic partnerships with businesses, community groups and other institutions, and represent the SACCO at forums, events and exhibitions.
• Plan and run marketing campaigns, promotions and community outreach, and conduct market research.
• Drive savings mobilization, share capital and financing uptake, prepare sales forecasts and budgets, and report regularly on performance.
• Advise members on savings and Sharia-compliant financing products, handle complaints and run retention and referral programmes.
• Run digital marketing campaigns, manage social media, WhatsApp Business and email content, and track leads and conversions.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Business Administration, Sales and Marketing, Finance, Banking, Economics or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in business development, sales or revenue growth within a financial institution.
• Experience in a SACCO, bank, microfinance institution or Islamic financial institution.
• Proven record of growing members, mobilizing savings, increasing product uptake and hitting revenue targets.
• Experience in digital marketing, lead generation and customer acquisition; knowledge of Islamic finance is an advantage.

Required skills

• CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
• Digital marketing tools and good computer skills.
