Business Growth and Development Manager – Branch

About the role

The Business Growth and Development Manager will lead the Kiambu branch of Faulu MFB, driving sales, profitability and market presence. You will align branch initiatives with the overall Faulu strategy and ensure sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement branch business initiatives and turnaround strategies to achieve growth and profitability.
• Lead sales of all products and services, motivate the sales team, and manage key stakeholder relationships.
• Build and nurture profitable relationships with customers, community and government bodies.
• Oversee asset and liability portfolio growth, ensuring income and quality targets are met.
• Promote brand visibility through strategic marketing and community engagement.
• Manage and develop the branch team, set performance targets and ensure succession planning.
• Control costs, plan budgets and monitor financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with credit policies, Central Bank regulations and health‑and‑safety standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a business‑related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Proven track record in sales, business growth and lending within MFIs or financial institutions.
• Strong leadership, decision‑making and problem‑solving abilities.
