Business Growth & Development Manager

About the role

The Business Growth & Development Manager will work closely with the Area Manager to formulate and implement the branch’s overall business strategy. The role focuses on driving deposit mobilisation, lending growth, client acquisition and digital banking adoption while ensuring strong relationship management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement branch business initiatives and turnaround strategies aligned with corporate goals.
• Lead sales of all products and services, motivate the sales team and manage key stakeholder relationships.
• Build and maintain profitable relationships with customers, community and government structures.
• Oversee brand visibility, marketing activities and community engagement.
• Manage and develop the branch team, set performance targets and ensure succession planning.
• Control costs, plan budgets and monitor financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with credit policies, regulatory guidelines and health‑and‑safety standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 6 years of banking sales experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Proven track record in business growth, lending and client acquisition.
• Experience in micro‑finance institutions or similar financial services.
