Business Service Manager

About the role

CIMMYT seeks a Business Service Manager for Kenya to lead procurement, logistics, fleet, inventory and warehouse operations, ensuring they support research programs and country priorities efficiently and compliantly.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end procurement, vendor management, and ensure compliance with CIMMYT policies, Kenyan regulations and donor requirements.
• Manage the institutional vehicle fleet, travel arrangements, and ensure safety, cost‑effectiveness and regulatory compliance.
• Supervise inventory and warehouse operations across Kenya locations, maintaining accurate records, traceability and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 usage.
• Ensure governance, internal controls and risk management for business services, supporting audits and business continuity planning.
• Lead and develop Business Services staff, build stakeholder relationships and promote a culture of accountability and service excellence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field.
• Proven experience in procurement, logistics, fleet or inventory management within an international or research organization.
• Strong knowledge of Kenyan procurement laws, donor compliance and internal control standards.
