Chef de Partie – Neapolitan Pizza Kitchen

About the role

Peponi’s is a contemporary Neapolitan‑style pizzeria in Nairobi that serves artisan pizzas in a vibrant, casual setting. We are looking for a full‑time Chef de Partie to lead a kitchen station, preparing pizzas and related menu items to our high standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a designated kitchen section, ensuring timely preparation and cooking of Neapolitan‑style pizzas.
• Organise and maintain mise en place for the station each shift.
• Monitor stock levels and report any shortages.
• Maintain consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control.
• Uphold strict hygiene and safety standards in line with food‑safety regulations.
• Support training and development of junior kitchen staff.
• Collaborate with the Head Chef and front‑of‑house team to ensure smooth service.
• Assist in menu development and creation of daily specials.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar kitchen role.
• Strong culinary background with a focus on pizza, dough handling and oven operation.
• Knowledge of kitchen hygiene and food‑safety standards.
• Ability to work flexible hours, stand for long periods and handle multiple orders during peak times.
• Relevant culinary training or certification is a plus.
