Communication & Marketing Manager

About the role

Origen Fresh is hiring a full-time, on-site Communication and Marketing Manager in Kitengela, Kenya. The role covers developing marketing and communication strategies, managing brand messaging, coordinating digital marketing and building customer relationships to drive business growth. Key responsibilities

• Digital presence: keep the company website up to date and active, and manage social media pages with a consistent posting calendar and prompt engagement.
• Advertising and partnerships: identify, negotiate with and manage social media influencers, and negotiate with advertising agencies and media owners for billboard and outdoor campaigns within approved budgets.
• Brand storytelling and content: document farmer stories and produce short (about 1-minute) videos, and supply product, lifestyle and farm images to international teams.
• Trade fairs and events: attend local and international trade fairs with the sales team and publish the captured content online.
• Retail marketing and performance: plan and run in-store and promotional campaigns with retailers, track sales data and campaign results to measure ROI, and report monthly to management.

Required profile

• Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or a related field.
• 3-5 years' marketing experience, ideally in FMCG or food products.
• Proven record managing social media, influencer and outdoor advertising campaigns in Kenya.
• Hands-on content skills: photography, short-form video and basic editing.
• Working knowledge of website management (Shopify is an advantage) and analytics tools.
• Ability to prepare and manage the annual marketing plan and budget.
