About the role
The Credit Officer will drive the marketing, promotion and sale of credit solutions to micro‑business customers in Nakuru. You will be responsible for recruiting borrowers, assessing loan applications and ensuring timely repayments while maintaining a high‑quality loan portfolio.
Key responsibilities
- Market and promote credit products to prospective customers.
- Recruit borrowers and conduct thorough loan appraisals.
- Monitor loan repayments and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Maintain a healthy loan book with strong portfolio quality and customer retention.
- Prepare and submit monthly performance reports.
Required profile
- Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration, Management, Banking, Co‑operative Management, Entrepreneurship or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in micro‑business or logbook lending.
- Proven experience in sales, marketing and portfolio management.
- High degree of integrity, confidentiality and customer‑service orientation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Computer literacy.
