Credit Risk Manager

About the role

Network International is seeking a Credit Risk Manager to lead the assessment and monitoring of credit risk for small and medium enterprise (SME) merchants and clients with large risk exposures. The role is pivotal in ensuring the Group stays within its risk appetite while supporting merchant sales and relationship teams.

Key responsibilities

• Review merchant risk exposure levels and prepare credit risk assessment reports.
• Underwrite credit risk for SME merchants and large‑scale clients in line with Group Credit Risk Policy.
• Conduct regular credit risk exposure assessments and monitor exception reports for early detection of potential issues.
• Analyse portfolio trends, propose policy changes, and mitigate emerging risks.
• Maintain internal stakeholder relationships with sales and relationship managers to resolve issues without escalation.
• Collaborate with compliance, risk, and legal teams to balance prudent risk management with commercial objectives.
• Align policies and procedures with local regulatory requirements.
• Perform financial statement analysis of prospective merchants and draw actionable conclusions.

Required profile

• Proven experience reviewing merchant risk exposure levels.
• Ability to perform credit risk underwriting for SME merchants with large exposures.
• Experience conducting financial statement analysis of merchant and client businesses.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with sales and relationship teams.
• Knowledge of Group Credit Risk Policy and local regulatory requirements.
