Executive Pastry Chef – Chocolate & Praline Specialist

About the role

The Social House is looking for an Executive Pastry Chef to lead its pastry and bakery operation, with a focus on creating a distinctive French‑inspired patisserie experience at The Living Room. You will shape the menu, develop signature items and ensure every pastry meets the highest standards of taste, texture and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the entire pastry and bakery operation, setting quality, taste, texture, presentation and consistency standards.
• Develop a French‑inspired patisserie offering, including croissants, viennoiserie, laminated pastries, artisan breads, cakes, tarts, entremets, petits gâteaux and chocolate products.
• Create seasonal collections, festive ranges and limited‑edition concepts while maintaining strict food‑cost discipline.
• Build production systems, manage stock levels, monitor ingredient usage and ensure food‑safety compliance.
• Coach, train and develop the pastry team, transferring technical knowledge across the crew.
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef, procurement, commercial and marketing teams on menus, promotions and revenue‑generating pastry experiences.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading a pastry operation, preferably in a high‑end hospitality or restaurant setting.
• Strong understanding of classic French pastry techniques combined with creativity for contemporary flavours.
• Ability to design and implement standard recipes, production specifications and quality controls.
• Excellent leadership, coaching and team‑development skills.
