Food Service Worker – Secure Facility Cafeteria

About the role

The Department of Juvenile Justice in Georgia seeks a reliable Food Service Worker to support the daily operations of its secure facility cafeterias. Working under direct supervision, you will assist in preparing, heating, and finishing a variety of food items while providing courteous service to staff and residents.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, heat, and finish cooking menu items according to established recipes and safety standards.
• Serve meals and beverages to customers in a timely and friendly manner.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, and silverware.
• Follow sanitation and food‑handling procedures to ensure a safe environment.
• Assist with inventory checks and restocking of supplies as needed.
