Freelance Recruiter – FMCG & Manufacturing (Remote, Kenya)

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Freelance Recruiter to lead talent acquisition for FMCG and manufacturing clients across East Africa. Based remotely in Kenya, you will manage full-cycle recruitment for mid‑to senior‑level positions, leveraging your market knowledge and networks.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end recruitment process from sourcing to onboarding coordination.
• Handle hiring mandates across FMCG, food processing, consumer goods, industrial and manufacturing sectors.
• Source candidates via LinkedIn, job portals, databases, referrals and market networking.
• Conduct initial screening interviews and assess candidate fit.
• Coordinate interview schedules between clients and shortlisted candidates.
• Maintain recruitment trackers and candidate pipelines.
• Provide market intelligence on talent availability, salary benchmarks and hiring trends.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with candidates and hiring stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of recruitment experience, preferably in FMCG or manufacturing.
• Experience in an agency or executive‑search environment is a plus.
• Deep understanding of Kenyan and East African talent markets.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple mandates.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
