Hardware Field Sales Executive

About the role

Brites Management Services is hiring full-time Hardware Field Sales Executives in Githurai, Nairobi, in the construction and building materials sector. The role covers prospecting, product demonstration, sales execution and account management across the Nairobi and/or Mombasa territory.

Key responsibilities

• Scout for new business by visiting hardware stores, garages, construction firms and auto repair shops, and run cold calls, walk-ins and scheduled visits to build a pipeline of leads.
• Demonstrate tools and machinery, give technical advice and recommend suitable equipment, and provide after-sales consultation, installation guidance and basic training.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms and delivery timelines, prepare quotations and proposals, close deals and process orders.
• Maintain relationships with existing clients, resolve complaints quickly, and upsell and cross-sell.
• Plan daily and weekly routes, record visits and feedback in CRM or reporting tools, and analyse territory performance.
• Track industry trends, competitor products and pricing, and report daily activity, sales performance and market insights.
• Work with logistics, inventory, finance and marketing teams, and uphold the company's brand and sales policies.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, Engineering or a related field.
• At least 2 years of proven field sales experience in tools, machinery or similar products.
• Strong knowledge of the hardware, construction and automotive industries.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel extensively within the region.
