Head Chef – Asian Cuisine (London)

About the role

Sauce Hospitality is seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead an Asian‑focused kitchen in the heart of Central London. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality dishes, managing daily operations, and fostering a collaborative, inclusive team environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, develop and refine Asian menus (Chinese, Japanese, Thai and related cuisines).
• Oversee all kitchen activities, from food preparation to service execution, ensuring consistency and excellence.
• Supervise, train and schedule the kitchen brigade, promoting skill development and a positive culture.
• Control stock, order supplies, manage waste and monitor food costs to meet budget and gross profit targets.
• Maintain strict food safety, hygiene and health‑and‑safety standards, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with front‑of‑house managers to deliver a seamless guest experience.

Required profile

• Extensive experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef specializing in Asian cuisines.
• Proven ability to run a high‑volume kitchen, coordinate service and lead diverse teams.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations, with a Food Safety Level 2 (or higher) certification.
• Excellent leadership, communication and people‑management skills.
• Ability to work full‑time on‑site in Central London, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
