Head of Growth Marketing

About the role

Carry1st Shop is a direct‑to‑consumer storefront for in‑game currency and digital goods across Africa and the Middle East. We are seeking a Head of Growth Marketing to own acquisition, retention and win‑back strategies, manage the paid user acquisition budget and lead a team of UA and creative specialists.

Key responsibilities

• Own paid acquisition across Meta, Google, TikTok, Snapchat and app networks, managing budget, CAC and payback.
• Build and run CRM and lifecycle programs (segmentation, onboarding, repeat purchase, cross‑sell, win‑back) via push, email, SMS and WhatsApp.
• Optimize app store listings and conversion funnels.
• Allocate budget across channels, markets and titles based on unit economics.
• Develop a trusted performance dashboard with the Data Team, including attribution and incrementality testing.
• Run high‑tempo testing across audiences, offers and creative.
• Lead and develop a team of paid UA and creative specialists, setting briefing and testing processes.
• Partner with market, product and data owners to translate commercial priorities into campaigns.

Required profile

• 6+ years of growth or performance marketing experience in gaming, e‑commerce or consumer apps.
• Proven track record of scaling paid acquisition and CRM/lifecycle programs with measurable results (CAC, ROAS, retention, reactivation).
• Ability to set quarterly growth strategy and execute campaigns hands‑on.
• Strong analytical rigour, fluent with mobile measurement partners and analytics tools.
• Creative judgement for performance creative and testing.
• Thrives in a fast‑moving, remote, growth‑stage environment.

Required skills

• Experience with mobile measurement partners such as AppsFlyer and Adjust.
