Head of Technology

About the role

We are looking for a highly technical "player‑coach" to serve as our Senior Lead Full‑Stack Engineer and Head of Technology. You will anchor the company’s technology, writing production‑grade code while leading the tech department and delivering solutions across multiple markets.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and develop full‑stack applications using Python, Django, React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Lead and mentor a team of developers, set goals, conduct reviews and drive skill growth.
• Define and execute a technology strategy that incorporates AI/ML, LLMs, vector databases and RAG architectures.
• Collaborate with operations and market leaders to plan projects, allocate resources and manage budgets for different market segments.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, DevOps practices and ensure compliance with security and data‑privacy standards.
• Identify technical and market risks, manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts.

Required profile

• 6+ years of full‑stack software engineering experience, including 2+ years in a senior or architectural role.
• Expertise in Python and the Django ecosystem (REST Framework, Celery, async workflows).
• Strong front‑end skills with JavaScript (ES2015+), TypeScript, React, HTML5 and CSS3.
• Proven experience integrating AI/ML tools such as OpenAI, Anthropic APIs, LangChain or vector databases.
• Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL, RESTful APIs, WebSockets, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent.
