Housekeeper

About the role

Studio 22 Agency (Abela) Ltd is recruiting a Housekeeper in Thika. The person will keep the assigned premises clean, hygienic and well presented, and should be professionally trained in hospitality with excellent attention to detail.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and maintain bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas, corridors and other assigned spaces.
• Make beds, change bed linen and replenish toiletries and room supplies.
• Keep all areas neat, clean, organised and hygienic.
• Use cleaning equipment and products correctly and safely, and maintain hygiene and sanitation standards.
• Inspect rooms and areas to check they meet cleanliness standards.
• Report maintenance issues, damages, lost property or missing items to the supervisor.
• Handle supplies, equipment and linen responsibly and follow housekeeping procedures.
• Assist with laundry and other housekeeping duties when required.
• Work efficiently on your own and as part of a team, keeping professionalism, confidentiality and good customer service.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Housekeeping or a related field.
• Previous housekeeping experience, preferably in a hotel, serviced apartment or similar.
• Neat, honest, hardworking and reliable, with strong attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
