About the role
Kapi Limited, a leading Kenyan manufacturer, is seeking a hands‑on HR / Personnel Officer to lead people operations for a one‑year fixed‑term contract. You will transition the company from informal HR practices to a structured, proactive system that supports both employees and management.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and maintenance of employee records.
- Ensure compliance with Kenyan labour laws and internal policies.
- Support managers with performance reviews, training needs, and development plans.
- Handle employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary procedures.
- Draft and maintain an Employee Handbook and HR policies.
- Promote open communication and a positive workplace culture.
Required profile
- Degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
- HR certification (CHRP, CIPD) is an advantage.
- Minimum 3 years of HR management experience, preferably in manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of Kenyan employment law.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving abilities.
