About the role

The Investigative Program Specialist (Cyber) leads complex cyber investigations within U.S. Customs and Border Protection. This position focuses on workforce misconduct, critical incidents, and threats by applying advanced investigative methods and inter‑agency coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, collect, analyze, and validate digital evidence from diverse sources to support investigations of workforce‑related cyber activities.
• Lead detailed investigations ensuring preservation and lawful handling of digital evidence.
• Provide expert guidance to law‑enforcement and administrative investigations on procedures and legal standards.
• Plan, coordinate, and manage all‑source data collection requirements, collaborating with multiple agencies and international partners.
• Design, implement, and evaluate complex exercises, rapid‑response operations, and strategic planning activities.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship.
• Male applicants born after 12/31/1959 must be registered with Selective Service.
• Primary U.S. residency for at least three of the last five years.
• Ability to pass a background investigation and comply with drug‑testing policies.
