Market Supply Chain Planner – East & West Africa (7‑month Contract)

About the role

The Market Supply Chain Planner will act as a strategic partner for East & West Africa, driving demand and supply strategies across multiple product portfolios. This 7‑month maternity contract focuses on forecasting, S&OP leadership, and ensuring supply continuity while leveraging digital tools to uncover revenue opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain demand forecasts for assigned portfolios across short, medium, and long horizons.
• Partner with commercial and finance teams to rationalise gaps between unit and financial forecasts.
• Utilise statistical forecasting models and collaborate with Above Market Forecasting teams to automate planning where possible.
• Lead the local S&OP process, ensuring cross‑functional alignment and accountability.
• Support commercial decisions with deep portfolio, market, and industry insights.
• Coordinate new product launches and special projects, monitoring performance against KPIs such as forecast error, inventory levels, and launch metrics.
• Work with the Market Planning Hub to guarantee continuous supply and manage escalation of supply issues.
• Drive continuous improvement and standardisation of demand planning and S&OP processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading cross‑functional teams in a supply chain environment.
• Strong business acumen with knowledge of industry trends, competitive landscape, and best practices.
• Understanding of end‑to‑end supply chain and logistics processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations management, or a related discipline.
