Marketing Manager – Youth & Creative Economy

About the role

Equity Bank Kenya is looking for a Marketing Manager to drive the growth, relevance and adoption of its youth and creative economy proposition. The role turns insights on customer lifestyles, behaviours and financial needs into marketing, partnership and customer engagement strategies, accelerates digital banking usage and customer acquisition, builds ecosystem partnerships and delivers end-to-end experiences that convert prospects into loyal customers.

Key responsibilities

• Understand young customers, creators and frontline teams, and build campaigns across social, search, creators, campuses, events, branches and community spaces
• Write briefs for agencies, simplify product terms and test and measure campaigns
• Work with Digital and Product to improve app sign-ups, payments and savings, and design nudges and follow-ups
• Partner with universities, TVETs, youth communities, creative bodies and event organisers, and manage creator and ambassador relationships
• Help solve creator pain points such as irregular income and access to finance, and produce content for creatives
• Capture leads, coordinate with sales, branches and the contact centre, and use CRM, automation and AI to improve follow-up
• Manage campaigns, partners, budgets and procurement, and track spend and performance

Required profile

• Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or similar
• Over 6 years in marketing, including at least 2 leading campaigns, agencies or cross-team projects
• Proven track record winning young audiences, creators, digital-first consumers or small businesses
• Experience running integrated and digital campaigns, managing partnerships and budgets
• Fintech, telco, media, consumer tech or banking experience is helpful
