Marketing Officer – eMobility

About the role

We are looking for a Marketing Officer to bring the M‑KOPA Mobility brand to life across digital and on‑ground channels as we scale our mobility division in Kenya. You will run campaigns end‑to‑end, create engaging content and directly support the growth of one of Africa’s most exciting mobility businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and track digital and on‑ground campaigns, from briefing creatives to scheduling, posting and performance reporting.
• Write copy and coordinate visuals for social media, email, SMS, WhatsApp and sales materials.
• Organise field activations, product demos, trade shows and community events.
• Monitor campaign metrics, share market insights and adjust strategy.
• Conduct competitor research and maintain regular reporting.
• Track marketing spend against awareness and sales conversion goals to maximise ROI.
• Manage records of marketing POSMs and branded merchandise.
• Collaborate with the sales team on lead generation and support partner marketing efforts.

Required profile

• A degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant marketing experience.
• Fluency with digital marketing tools such as Meta Ads, Google Ads, Canva and Mailchimp.
• Strong written English; Swahili is a plus.
• Detail‑oriented, organised and comfortable taking initiative.
• Genuine curiosity about mobility, fintech or clean energy in Africa.
