Mathematics & ICT Teacher (IGCSE)

About the role

The International School (Pearson Edexcel) is seeking a qualified Mathematics and ICT teacher to deliver IGCSE curriculum to secondary students in Nairobi. You will be responsible for creating engaging lessons, integrating digital tools, and preparing learners for examinations and practical assessments.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Mathematics and ICT effectively to IGCSE students.
• Develop engaging lesson plans, assessments and practical tasks.
• Integrate technology into teaching and support digital literacy development.
• Prepare learners for Cambridge/Pearson Edexcel examinations.
• Monitor academic progress and maintain accurate student records.
• Participate in curriculum development and school activities.
• Promote a safe, productive learning environment.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Education.
• Minimum three years of teaching experience, preferably with IGCSE curriculum.
• Registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a clean child‑protection record.
• Strong classroom and curriculum management abilities.

Required skills

• Experience delivering the IGCSE (Cambridge/Pearson Edexcel) curriculum.
• Ability to integrate ICT tools into classroom instruction.
• Effective classroom and assessment management.
