Nursery Key Worker – Gaelic Medium (Unqualified)

About the role
This permanent position is for a Nursery Key Worker in a Gaelic‑medium early years setting. You will work 37 hours per week, year‑round, supporting children’s learning and development through the medium of Gaelic.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver a curriculum that supports all‑round learning for each child.
- Organise and lead play sessions, adapting activities to individual needs.
- Collaborate with families and the wider school team to promote children’s wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to the child’s personal learning plan.
Required profile
- Proven experience working with young children and families in an early years setting.
- Ability to speak and read Gaelic fluently.
- Membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme (legal requirement for regulated work with children).
Required skills
- Gaelic language proficiency (speaking and reading).
What we offer
- Salary £30,758 – £31,935 per annum, inclusive of a £2,997 Distant Islands Allowance.
