Patient Coordinator – Receptionist (Front Desk)

About the role
We are seeking a Patient Coordinator – Receptionist to manage the front‑desk operations of our home‑health practice in New York. The role ensures smooth patient flow, accurate record‑keeping and timely communication between patients, clinicians and insurers.
Key responsibilities
- Greet patients and handle all front‑desk interactions.
- Process patient information, insurance claims and payments.
- Maintain and update the office database and patient records.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate clinicians’ calendars.
- Prepare, write and transcribe medical and administrative reports.
- Provide bilingual support in Spanish when required.
Required profile
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced healthcare environment.
- Fluency in English; Spanish language ability is a plus.
Required skills
- Proficiency with office database or electronic health record systems.
- Experience processing insurance claims and payments.
