Procurement Manager

About the role

Nairobi Central Hardware is hiring a full-time, on-site Procurement Manager in Nairobi. The role oversees procurement activities, sources suppliers, monitors stock levels and ensures timely delivery of quality products at competitive prices. The deadline for applications is 18 November 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies, and manage the process from requisition to delivery
• Evaluate and select suppliers based on price, quality and reliability
• Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers, negotiate contracts and monitor supplier performance
• Monitor inventory levels, manage stock replenishment and coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams
• Analyse market trends, implement cost controls and prepare reports on procurement performance
• Maintain accurate procurement records, tabulate price changes and follow suppliers for shortages
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks and develop contingency plans
• Work with internal departments to understand their needs and share procurement best practices

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field
• At least 5 years of procurement experience, preferably in the hardware industry
• Knowledge of local procurement regulations
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, and excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

Required skills

• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with Tally ERP is an added advantage
