Product Champion - Microfinance

About the role

Brites Management Services is hiring a full-time Product Champion in the microfinance sector, based along Thika Road. The role combines product sales, business development and customer engagement, with a salary of KShs 60,000-70,000 plus commissions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop monthly sales plans for the assigned product with the Branch Manager and identify new business opportunities.
• Source customers through referrals, cross-selling, market visits, sales activations and leads provided by SBC, and build stakeholder relationships.
• Identify customer financing needs, explain product features, eligibility, charges and repayment obligations, and guide customers through loan applications.
• Maintain an updated pipeline of prospects, applications, approvals and disbursements.
• Conduct preliminary customer assessments, authenticate documents, and forward complete applications to the relevant officer.
• Follow up on applications, work with Relationship Officers and Credit to resolve issues, and escalate inconsistencies.
• Keep accurate records, submit weekly pipeline and monthly performance reports, monitor competitors and comply with SBC policies, AML/CFT and fair-treatment requirements.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Banking, Real Estate or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in sales, banking, microfinance or financial services.
• Experience in Import Duty Financing, Real Estate lending (Makao Poa) or Private School and Hospital lending products.
• Proven ability to generate leads, build business relationships and convert prospects into business.
