Project Officer - Nutrition

About the role

The Project Officer – Nutrition will implement and monitor nutrition activities within emergency programmes in Turkana, Kenya. This role focuses on delivering Integrated Management of Acute Malnutrition (IMAM), maternal, infant and young child nutrition, and community‑based approaches.

Key responsibilities

• Implement Integrated Management of Acute Malnutrition, Positive Hearth Deviance, Baby Friendly community initiatives, Family MUAC, IMAM Surge and related approaches.
• Provide capacity‑building training for health workers, community health promoters and local leaders.
• Ensure programme quality aligns with the approved budget and monitor effectiveness through surveys and assessments.
• Collaborate closely with county and sub‑county health officials, health facility staff and community stakeholders.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in nutrition programming, especially in emergency or humanitarian contexts.
• Ability to work with health officials, community leaders and multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to World Vision’s Christian values and professional ethics, including participation in team devotions where legally permissible.
