Relationship Officer – Field Sales & Loan Processing

About the role

We are seeking energetic, self‑motivated Relationship Officers to grow and protect our loan portfolio across Kikuyu and surrounding areas. You will combine field sales, customer service and loan recovery to support small‑scale entrepreneurs who need quick, collateral‑free credit.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new SME clients through direct field marketing, referrals and community events.
• Guide applicants through the borrowing cycle, conduct background checks and verify documentation.
• Meet monthly targets for new client acquisition, loan disbursement, repayments and client retention.
• Build trust‑based relationships with business owners, act as a financial advisor and resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain compliance with credit guidelines, evaluate risk profiles and report potential defaults.
• Monitor local market trends, competitor activity and provide actionable field reports.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in sales, micro‑finance or related customer‑facing roles.
• Strong self‑discipline, able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills and a genuine interest in supporting grassroots traders.
• Ability to travel within the assigned territory and manage a personal workflow.

Required skills

• Proficiency in basic office tools (e.g., Microsoft Office).
