Commercial Manager

About the role

Agsol is seeking a Commercial Manager to build and lead its commercial function on a global scale, based in Kenya. Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, you will own the company’s most strategic distributor relationships and be accountable for revenue growth, operational execution, and end‑user outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Own senior‑level relationships with key distributors, influencing commercial, operational and strategic decisions.
• Drive “sell‑in” revenue growth and ensure “sell‑through” product performance across distributor networks.
• Manage inventory strategy, forecasting and working‑capital efficiency to avoid stock‑outs or overstocking.
• Monitor and improve customer outcomes, gathering field feedback and addressing systemic issues.
• Oversee warranty registration, parts availability, training and after‑sales service quality.
• Set objectives for the sales team, track performance against KPIs and foster a collaborative, results‑focused culture.

Required profile

• Proven ability to build trust across commercial, operations and after‑sales teams.
• Experience running regular contract performance reviews and joint planning sessions.
• Track record of identifying and fixing bottlenecks in last‑mile distribution.
• Capability to coordinate closely with internal supply‑chain functions.
• Strong focus on delivering measurable consumer value and repeatable demand.
