Remote Technical Support Specialist - Payroll & HR Systems

About the role

A remote Technical Support Specialist is needed to support users of payroll, HCM, PEO and similar workforce management platforms. The role suits a customer-focused person who enjoys troubleshooting and problem-solving, and supports critical business processes around payroll and human resources. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM CST, and 1 year of experience is required.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for payroll and HR software platforms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve user issues on payroll processing, employee records, system configurations and platform functionality.
• Respond to client inquiries by email, phone and ticketing systems.
• Document support cases, resolutions and troubleshooting steps.
• Escalate complex issues to internal teams when necessary.
• Help users navigate the system, follow best practices and adopt features.
• Monitor and track support requests for timely resolution.
• Work with implementation, operations and product teams to improve the customer experience.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in technical support, help desk, customer support or a related role.
• Experience with payroll, HCM, PEO, HRIS or similar workforce management platforms.
• Basic understanding of payroll processes and HR operations.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and customer-service skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
